Avanade is growing, and we seek motivated and engaged technology professionals to join our Managed Services team delivering continuous value to our client's businesses.

We are seeking a Copilot & AI Ops Engineer who is passionate about building, operating, and optimising AI-driven solutions using Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI services. You will work closely with customers to implement and manage AI capabilities in production and ensure a high‐quality managed services experience.

Core to the Role
n
n
- Deploy, configure, and support Microsoft Copilot solutions across M365 and custom Copilot use cases.
n
- Build and integrate AI solutions using Azure AI services, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI Foundry.
n
- Operate and monitor AI workloads to ensure reliability, performance, and responsible usage.
n
- Support AI solution lifecycle including deployment, updates, and optimisation in Managed Services environments.
n
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for AI services and copilots to detect issues and risks.
n
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and deliver AI use cases that drive business value.
n
- Apply governance, security, and compliance controls to AI workloads including data protection and access management.
n
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures for AI services.
n
n
About You
n
You are an experienced engineer with strong exposure to Microsoft AI technologies and a passion for operating AI solutions at scale. You have a background in cloud engineering or support and are comfortable working in Managed Services environments,
delivering continuous improvement and customer outcomes.
n
Professional Skillset
n
n
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot (M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio) and Azure AI services.
n
- Working knowledge of Azure services including compute, identity, storage, and monitoring.
n
- Experience building or supporting AI/ML or automation solutions using Python, APIs, or low‐code platforms.
n
- Understanding of AI governance, security, and compliance including responsible AI principles.
n
- Experience with monitoring, incident management, and operational support (ITIL practices).
n
- Robust analytical and problem‐solving capability with focus on automation and optimisation.
n
n
Qualifications
n
n
- 3–5 years' experience in cloud engineering, AI engineering, or application support roles.
n
- Experience delivering or supporting AI solutions in enterprise or consulting environments.
n
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Purview, or data platform technologies.
n
- Experience supporting Copilot rollout, adoption, or enablement initiatives.
n
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
n
n
Certifications
n
n
- Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102)
n
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
n
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals / Copilot related certifications (desirable)
n
- Relevant cloud or AI certifications
n
