The College is seeking to appoint the following:
n
Position
n
n
- A Trumpet Tutor is required for 10 x 40-minute lessons per week starting in Term 2 2025 with the chance for that to continue to grow in time. This is a mixture of individual lessons and also small groups. The ages range from Year 5 up to Year 11.
n
- Lessons are 40 minutes long.
n
- Tutors are required to organise their lesson schedule and communicate this with parents and students through the school teaching and learning platform.
n
- The Yr 5 Band program uses a Band Method book to guide the lessons in the early stages and all the student meet weekly for an ensemble rehearsal as well as their group lesson on their instrument.
n
- There is potential for the successful applicant to also be involved in one of our many ensembles depending on your time availability,
as a way of building more time into your KCC schedule.

Selection criteria
n

- Ability to actively support the College Christian ethos.
n
- Possess appropriate tertiary qualifications and show a commitment to ongoing professional development.
n
- Have apassion and energy for developing young musicians through a broad approach to music encompassing all styles, delivering individual lessons as part of the school music program.
n
- Familiarity with a variety of teaching and learning strategies to meet students' needs.
n
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with people and to be a "team player". You should have a demonstrated ability to work within a school or team.
n
- High level interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and develop positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
n
- Strong organisational skills,including punctuality.
n
- Show empathy with, and an understanding of young people.
n
- Good computer literacy skills.
n
n

The successful applicant must hold a WWCC Card (or be able to apply) and a National Police Clearance (no more than 3 months old).
