Draftsperson – Mechanical Design

Bayswater, VIC $40/hr + Super | Casual / Full-Time | Immediate Start

Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer specialising in mechanical truck components and engineered solutions. Due to growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they're looking for a Draftsperson to join their team in Bayswater.

n

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced Mechanical Engineer, producing detailed manufacturing drawings for a range of heavy vehicle components in a stable, long-term role.

About the Role

n

n
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings
n
- Create manufacturing and fabrication drawings for truck components
n
- Work closely with the Mechanical Engineer to develop new and existing products
n
- Update and revise drawings as required
n
- Liaise with the workshop to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
n
- Support continuous improvement of products and processes
n

About You

n

n




- Previous experience as a Draftsperson or Mechanical Designer
n
- Proficient with CAD software (Ideally Onshape)
n
- Experience producing manufacturing or fabrication drawings
n
- Strong attention to detail
n
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and workshop staff
n
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
n
