Employment Lawyer | Sydney CBD Workplace Investigations Firm
Our client is a specialist private employmnt law firm and workplace investigations practice based in Sydney CBD, engaged by organisations across Australia to conduct independent employment and workplace investigations.
They are looking to add an Employment Lawyer to their team, ideally someone with several years' post-admission experience from a private practice background who can work with genuine autonomy from day one.

About the role
The role is centred on conducting independent workplace investigations into complaints raised within client organisations nationally:
- Conduct independent investigations into complaints of bullying, harassment, discrimination and code-of-conduct breaches
- Interview witnesses and gather evidence in a fair, thorough and legally sound manner
- Prepare clear, well-reasoned investigation reports and findings for client organisations
- Liaise directly with client stakeholders throughout each investigation
- Manage a caseload independently, with genuine autonomy
Key Requirements:
- Admitted as a Solicitor in Australia with a current practising certificate
- Solid background in employment / workplace relations law, ideally acting for employers
- Experience in workplace investigations, or a genuine interest in developing this skill set
- Exposure to matters such as unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination, bullying, performance management and redundancy
- Strong drafting skills across contracts, policies, advices and investigation reports
- Ability to manage client relationships, juggle competing deadlines and work autonomously when required
- Team-focused mindset with an interest in supporting and mentoring junior lawyers
(PQE is flexible. Lawyers from Associate through to Senior Associate / Executive Counsel level are encouraged to apply.)
