Approach is looking for a full time Insolvency Accountant / Manager to join a national firm based in Canberra. You'll have the chance to gain exposure to a broad range of appointment types, work closely with experienced practitioners, and develop end-to-end file ownership, all while being part of a firm that invests properly in your professional development and ARITA progression.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Day to day file management of insolvency appointments (from start to finish)
- Preparation of statutory lodgements
- Liaising with directors, employees, creditors, banks, statutory authorities and other stakeholders
- Collection and investigation into records
- Prioritising and managing workloads to meet conflicting deadlines
- Analysing financial statements and diverse financial data
- Drafting reports and preparing for creditors meetings
- Investigating insolvent trading, voidable transactions and offences committed by officers
- Attending sites to inspect, collect and record assets, books and records
- Assisting with Fair Entitlements Guarantee claims and calculating employee entitlements

About you
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Commerce, Finance or Accounting
- CA or CPA qualified (or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in insolvency is highly regarded, but not necessary for the role
