An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join this collaborative and supportive team on a full-time permanent basis. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of GPs, nursing staff, administration professionals and visiting allied health providers, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding clinical care, supporting chronic disease management, health assessments, care planning, immunisations and preventative health initiatives.

Key duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
n
n
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care within your scope of practice and in accordance with current evidence-based guidelines.
n
- Perform a broad range of clinical duties including patient triage, immunisations, wound care, ECGs, pathology collection, chronic disease management and assisting GPs with clinical procedures.
n
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records.
n
- Support patient care through health assessments, care planning, patient education and preventative health initiatives.
n
- Coordinate GP Management Plans, Team Care Arrangements, patient recalls and follow-up programs to improve health outcomes.
n
- Provide patient advocacy and liaise effectively with GPs, allied health providers and external healthcare services to ensure continuity of care.
n
- Communicate test results and clinical information to patients as directed by medical practitioners.
n
- Ensure clinical equipment is cleaned, sterilised and maintained in accordance with infection control standards.
n
- Monitor and maintain clinical stock levels, including appropriate storage, stock rotation and ordering of medical supplies.
n
- Promote and maintain compliance with RACGP Standards, infection prevention and control protocols, accreditation requirements, workplace health and safety, and all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
n
- Maintain professional nursing standards through ongoing education and the application of current best practice.
n
- Contribute positively to a collaborative, supportive and patient-focused team environment.
n
- Mentor and support the Enrolled Nurse, where applicable, to promote clinical excellence and professional development.
n

To be closely considered, you will require:
n
n
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
n
- Professional indemnity insurance.
n
- Previous experience in General Practice or a genuine interest in community-based nursing.
n
- Sound knowledge of chronic disease management, health assessments, immunisation schedules, infection prevention and control, diabetes and asthma management, and emergency response procedures.
n
- Demonstrated understanding of primary healthcare principles, including patient education, preventative health and health promotion.
n
- A patient-centred approach with a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate and evidence-based care.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive relationships with patients, families and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
n
- The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a busy, fast-paced team environment.
n
- A high level of professionalism, integrity and commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
n
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in evidence-based nursing practice.
n
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation, AHPRA requirements, professional standards and the Registered Nurse scope of practice.
n
- Physical capability to safely undertake patient care activities, including the occasional lifting, repositioning or transfer of patients where required.
n

Remuneration:
n
Enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $43–$50 per hour plus superannuation, with remuneration negotiable based on your skills, experience and the value you bring to the team.
