Job Description

We are looking for a Mid-Junior Data Engineer to join a well-regarded consultancy and work on enterprise-scale data solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a data professional eager to develop their skills in AWS and Databricks, while contributing to exciting, large-scale projects and learning from experienced senior engineers.

You'll be working closely with a collaborative team to design, build, and maintain data pipelines, while gaining exposure to modern data practices and cloud technologies.

Compensation

n

Base pay range: A$600.00/daily - A$700.00/daily

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Build and maintain data pipelines and processing solutions using AWS and Databricks.
n
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand business requirements.
n
- Support the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.
n
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving platform or data pipeline issues.
n
- Contribute to the documentation and governance of data processes and standards.
n
- Learn and apply best practices under the guidance of senior engineers.
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- 1-3 years of experience in data engineering or similar role.
n
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud Services and Databricks (or strong interest in learning).
n
- Experience with SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python).
n
- Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data modelling concepts.
n
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
n
- Experience in enterprise or consultancy environments.
n
- Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
n
- Familiarity with Azure, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
n
