Overview

We are seeking a skilled Non-Functional Quality Engineer lead to ensure the performance, scalability, and resilience of our AWS-based platforms. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive non-functional testing strategies, simulating high-load scenarios across API interfaces, and validating that our systems meet rigorous standards for latency, throughput, and uptime.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain non-functional test frameworks to ensure robust test coverage and quality.
n
- Lead the planning and execution of non-functional testing, including:n n
- Performance Testing
n
- Monitoring & Alerting Validation
n
- Disaster Recovery (DR) Testing
n
- Backup & Restoration Testing
n
- Resiliency Testing
n

n
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams product, systems, and service design to ensure thorough test coverage.
n
- Identify and recommend improvements in requirements and design processes to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
n
- Map test cases and scripts to user story acceptance criteria to ensure traceability and coverage.
n
- Analyse test outcomes,



identify performance bottlenecks, and work with engineering teams to enhance system stability and efficiency.
n
- Integrate non-functional testing into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps and architecture teams.
n

Required Skills & Experience

n

n
- Proven experience in performance and resiliency testing within AWS environments.
n
- Solid foundation in performance engineering and non-functional testing methodologies.
n
- Hands‐on expertise with tools like JMeter and Gatling.
n
- Ability to interpret complex technical requirements and architecture documents to define optimal testing strategies.
n
- Proficiency with version control systems such as GitLab.
n
- Strong debugging skills to identify performance issues with minimal data.
n
- Practical experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
n
- Experience validating cloud-hosted vendor solutions and their integration with legacy systems.
n
- Solid understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
n

Preferred Qualifications

- Understanding of trade lifecycle, clearing mechanisms, and off‐market trade reporting.
