Join the renowned Acoustics team at Thales Rydalmere to support the build and assembly of high-precision underwater acoustic and sonar systems for defense and commercial applications. You will work alongside a team of expert technicians and engineers to build, test, and integrate critical electrical and electromechanical assemblies.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Point-to-point wiring, cable looming, and component assembly.
- Fine soldering and sub-assembly integration.
- Basic continuity testing using multimeters.
- Following clear visual assembly instructions and schematics.
What We’re Looking For
- Trade qualification NOT required—hands-on experience in fine assembly, soldering, cable harnessing, or detailed mechanical/electrical work is what counts.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings or instructions.
- Reliable work ethic and valuable team attitude.
- Must be an Australian Citizen (required to clear a basic Defence Security Check).
