About the Role: Medirecruit is currently seeking an experienced Consultant Physician in General Medicine to join a leading tertiary health service in Sunshine Coast, QLD. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and high-performing medical department within a major referral hospital, providing comprehensive acute and inpatient medical care to a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

- Acute inpatient general medical care
- Management of complex multi-system disease presentations
- Participation in acute medical take and on-call services
- Involvement in multidisciplinary ward rounds and case conferences
- Contribution to clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development
- Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and trainees

About You

- Fellowship or equivalent specialist qualification in General Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Broad experience managing acute and complex medical patients
- Strong clinical decision-making and leadership skills
- Commitment to teaching, training, and multidisciplinary care
- Eligibility for specialist registration in Australia (or ability to obtain)
