Commercial Cleaner (Full-time) – Auchenflower

- Monday to Friday, 6am start or Monday to Friday, 8am start
- EBA rate $27.42 per hour

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will deliver high-quality cleaning services within the housekeeping department in a health care setting, helping to maintain a secure, compliant and welcoming site for all visitors, patients and staff. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, with all cleaning completed in accordance with client SOPs and site procedures. All training will be provided.

Key responsibilities include

- Provide friendly, professional customer service and respond to requests as required
- Complete general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping and vacuuming
- Clean patient rooms, public areas, back of house areas, sterile areas, offices and amenities (including bathrooms)
- Clean internal and external glass surfaces
- Respond to spills and complete spot cleaning as needed
- Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums, buffers, high-pressure washers, scrubbers and floor sweepers
- Use safe manual handling techniques when lifting and moving equipment
- Restock consumables and cleaning supplies as required
- Collect and remove rubbish and maintain waste areas




- Use cleaning chemicals safely and in line with site procedures
- Communicate clearly and proactively manage stakeholder expectations

Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A National Criminal History Check (issued within the last three months) (Mandatory requirement)
- Vaccination certificates for Hepatitis B (SAB); Varicella Zoster (VZG); Measles (MEG); Mumps (MUG); Rubella (RUG) (Mandatory requirement)
- Previous commercial cleaning experience (experience in regulated or health care/aged card environments highly regarded)
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Professional presentation and a customer-focused approach
- Good knowledge of cleaning processes, equipment and hygiene standards
- Willingness to follow client SOPs and complete required training
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently
