About the role
This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting families and strengthening community connections within an early childhood education and care environment. Working alongside educators and community partners, the Community Relations and Wellbeing Worker will contribute to inclusion, wellbeing and early support pathways that positively impact children and families.
Key responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with children, families, community members and stakeholder organisations
- Act as a link between families, the kindergarten, and external support services
- Provide practical and emotional wellbeing support and guidance for early intervention
- Advocate for individuals and families within service systems where required
- Organise and facilitate community and wellbeing programs, including Community Pantry, Playgroup and Ready! Set! Kindy!
- Promote community-led, strengths-based initiatives and inclusive participation
- Maintain records, reporting, social media content and promotional materials
- Represent Koobara Kindergarten at community events and coordinate information stalls
- Work collaboratively with educators, allied professionals and community agencies
About you
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current Queensland 'C' Class or higher Driver Licence; or ability to obtain a LR Licence
- Ability to work flexibly,
including occasional out-of-hours or community events
- Experience, communication and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated understanding of wellbeing and early childhood contexts
- Ability to work collaboratively within an education and care environment

We work in close partnership with families and the local community to deliver a kindergarten program that supports children's learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging.
