About the Role

As the Company Accountant (internally titled Manager, Administration and Finance), you will ensure financial operations are managed efficiently and effectively, supporting the ongoing stability and success of the business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key leadership role, overseeing finance and administration functions while providing accurate reporting and strategic financial insights to support business decision-making.

Duties

- Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to a small finance team
- Oversee banking, debtors, creditors, debt collection, timesheets, and disbursements
- Review and approve accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and vendor payments
- Manage end-of-month, quarter-end, and year-end financial processes
- Process weekly payroll,



including superannuation and long service leave obligations
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Lead the implementation of financial systems and workflow enhancements
- Manage facilities-related administration, including security, insurance, fleet, telecommunications, and office requirements
- Work closely with the groups external accountants to ensure compliance with all financial, taxation, and statutory obligations

Skills & Experience

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in a finance leadership role
- CPA or CA qualification (or currently working towards completion)
- Experience within trade services, construction, engineering, or a related industry will be highly regarded
- Exposure to AI-enabled finance tools or workflow automation solutions is desirable
