We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our concrete construction and earthmoving business.

The role will involve preparing accurate quotes and estimates for a range of commercial, civil and residential concrete and earthmoving projects.

Key Responsibilities

● Review construction drawings, plans, specifications and tender documents

● Complete accurate quantity take-offs

● Prepare quotations for concrete construction and earthmoving works

● Estimate labour, concrete, reinforcement, formwork, excavation, machinery, cartage and material costs

● Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing

● Price variations and additional works

● Prepare tender submissions and detailed cost breakdowns

● Liaise with builders, clients, suppliers, subcontractors and project managers

● Follow up submitted quotations and assist with negotiations

● Maintain accurate estimating records and project pricing

● Assist with project handover from estimating to the construction team

● Identify potential risks, access issues and additional costs before works commence

● Concrete slabs

● Commercial and industrial concrete





● Footings and foundations

● Driveways and external concrete

● Excavation and site preparation

● Bulk and detailed earthworks

● Site cuts

● Crushed rock preparation and compaction

● Spoil removal and cartage

● Drainage and associated civil works

Requirements

● Previous estimating experience within concrete construction, civil construction or earthmoving

● Ability to read and understand construction drawings

● Good understanding of concrete construction methods and earthmoving operations

● Strong attention to detail

● Good communication and organisational skills

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple quotations

● Confident using computers, spreadsheets and estimating software

● Current Australian driver licence preferred
