Intract Australia is seeking an experienced Construction Manager – Defence Projects to join our Building & Construction team.

This role is ideal for a confident and grounded construction leader who knows how to bring teams together, manage complex project environments and deliver safely, professionally and to a high standard.

You will lead construction delivery across Defence projects from mobilisation through to commissioning, handover and defects close-out.

What You’ll Do

- Lead construction delivery from mobilisation through to handover
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, programme and construction methodology
- Drive safety, quality, compliance and project performance
- Coordinate sequencing, resources, logistics and site operations
- Support tendering, constructability reviews and delivery planning
- Build robust relationships with Defence stakeholders, consultants and subcontractors
- Mentor Site Managers, Engineers and Supervisors

What You’ll Bring

- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building or Engineering,



or extensive senior site leadership experience
- 10+ years’ construction management experience on major building or infrastructure projects
- Defence or government project experience highly regarded
- Experience delivering projects valued $20M+
- Strong leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance
