We are working exclusively with a modern regional referral hospital located in a thriving coastal town in South-East NSW, offering an outstanding lifestyle combined with meaningful clinical practice.

The Hospital
n
This is a well‐established regional public hospital servicing a broad catchment across the South‐East NSW region.
n
n
- Approximately 130-140 inpatient beds
n
- Full Emergency Department, ICU/HD, General Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics and Mental Health services
n
- Modern facilities with strong on‐site diagnostic and theatre support
n
- Part of a progressive Local Health District with close links to larger tertiary centres
n
n
The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Service
n
The O&G; department plays a critical role in regional women's health, delivering comprehensive services across:
n
n
- Antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
n
- General and operative gynaecology
n
- Emergency obstetric and gynaecological presentations
n
- Inpatient, outpatient and on‐call services
n
n
You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team including midwives, nursing staff, anaesthetics, paediatrics and junior medical staff, with opportunities to:

n
- Contribute to service development and expansion
n
- Support and mentor junior doctors and trainees
n
- Participate in quality improvement,
clinical governance and education
n
- Help foster a strong culture of learning and best practice in a regional setting
n
n
This role suits a confident specialist comfortable working with a high level of clinical independence, supported by strong systems and referral pathways.

The Role
n
n
- Staff Specialist or Visiting Medical Officer appointment
n
- Permanent, full‐time or part‐time options available
n
- Up to 40 hours per week (flexible arrangements considered)
n
- Involves emergency, inpatient and outpatient O&G; care
n
n
Essential Criteria
n
n
- FRANZCOG or eligibility for specialist registration
n
- Specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
n
- Demonstrated experience managing complex obstetric and gynaecological cases
n
- Commitment to teaching, supervision and clinical excellence
n
- Strong teamwork, communication and leadership skills
n
- Alignment with NSW Health values and patient‐centred care
n
