We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer Operator to join our team at Alsop Engineering Pty Ltd in Taren Point, NSW. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for operating and programming a range of CNC machinery to ensure high-quality and efficient production for our clients.
What you'll be doing
Operating a variety of CNC machines including lathes, mills, grinders and other specialty equipment
Programming CNC machines to produce parts and components to tight tolerances and specifications
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans and documentation to determine the optimal machining processes
Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
Collaborating with the engineering team to continuously improve manufacturing processes and techniques
Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards
What we're looking for
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a CNC Machinist / Programmer Operator in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong working knowledge of CNC programming languages and software such as G-code and CAM systems
Expertise in operating a range of CNC machinery including horizontal machining center, 5 axis mills,
other specialty equipment
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and documentation
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
