Senior Commercial Manager | Perth, WA

Are you a commercially astute leader looking to influence some of Australia's most complex infrastructure, defence or major project programmes?

We're partnering with various organisations delivering high-value, technically complex projects across Australia. They're seeking experienced Senior Commercial Managers to lead commercial strategy, manage contractual risk and provide commercial leadership across major programmes.

The Opportunity

n

You'll be responsible for leading the commercial function across a portfolio of major projects - ensuring commercial governance, contract performance and risk management are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.

n

You'll work closely with operational leaders, legal teams and customers while mentoring and developing high-performing commercial professionals.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead commercial strategy across complex infrastructure, defence or engineering programmes.
n
- Manage high-value client and subcontractor contracts from bid through to project completion.
n
- Identify, manage and mitigate commercial and contractual risk.
n
- Lead contract negotiations, variations, claims and dispute resolution.
n




- Provide commercial advice to executive and project leadership teams.
n
- Drive commercial governance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Build robust relationships with customers, suppliers and key stakeholders.
n
- Mentor and develop commercial and contracts professionals.
n

About You

n

n
- Significant experience in commercial, contracts or project commercial management.
n
- Experience within Defence, EPC/EPCM, infrastructure, construction, mining, energy or major capital projects.
n
- Strong knowledge of complex contract models (ASDEFCON, NEC, FIDIC, AS4000 or similar).
n
- Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk and opportunity.
n
- Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
n

An Australian Defence Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) will be highly regarded for defence-related opportunities.
