Where you'll be working

NSW Health Pathology is a world-class state-wide pathology service, where specialist pathologists work alongside leading clinicians and scientific teams across a major tertiary health network. This permanent position is based within a major tertiary hospital providing comprehensive chemical pathology services to clinicians and patients across a large health network. You will provide diagnostic, consultative and on-call services while contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, quality improvement and staff education.

The role offers the opportunity to work closely with clinicians, scientists and other laboratory professionals in a multidisciplinary environment, with scope to contribute to evidence-based practice and the ongoing development of the service.

Salary

Consultants are remunerated under the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award, with the applicable base salary determined by experience and appointment level, plus superannuation, salary packaging and allowances. Additional benefits include professional development support, study leave and access to the broader NSW Health benefits program.

Estimated package: approximately $260,000 to $380,000 per annum, depending on level of seniority, on-call participation and applicable allowances.

Requirements

Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or equivalent
