Role Description The Contract Administrator is a full-time hybrid role based in the Greater Newcastle Area, with some flexibility for work from home. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and administering contracts across commercial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements. Day-to-day tasks include managing contract documentation, tracking variations, monitoring budgets, and supporting project managers with procurement and subcontractor agreements.
The Contract
Administrator will liaise with clients, consultants,
and suppliers to clarify contract terms, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records and reporting. The role also involves supporting tender processes, contributing to risk assessments, and helping improve contract administration procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Contract Negotiation and Communication to manage stakeholders and secure favorable, compliant terms.
- Demonstrated ability in Contract Management and Procurement to oversee documentation, variations, and supplier/subcontractor agreements.
- Excellent Analytical Skills to review contract conditions, assess risks, and monitor financial and project performance.
- Experience in construction or property industries, preferably in commercial or multi-residential projects.
- Proficiency with contract administration software, MS Office (especially Excel), and document management systems.
- Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Law, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within project teams and independently in a hybrid work environment.
