Operating Monday - Friday 7am -3pm and located in the Castle Hill business park, Cafe Ferveur is looking for an experienced cook or chef to join our team on a daily basis. This is a hands-on role where you will be the main cook/chef looking after the overall kitchen for food preparation, cooking, baking and cleaning.

About the Role (Key Responsibilities):

- Monday to Friday shifts, approx 7am - 3/3.30pm.
- Food preparation, various cooking techniques, baking & cleaning
- Understanding, implementing & adhering to food safety and hygiene standards (critical)
- Maintaining food consistency & quality via portion control and recipes
- Monitoring stock levels and inventory.
- Maintaining a clean and well-organised kitchen workplace
- Taking responsibility for the overall kitchen, it’s workflow and cleanliness
- Able to implement and follow systems for efficient workflow
- Ensuring all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean and in good working order
- Support all team members and contribute to a positive kitchen environment

About You (Skills and Experience Required):

- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment or similar
- Solid knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques




- Able to work in a team environment (FOH & BOH) and communicate effectively
- Is organised and systematic in their work process
- Understands and follows Food Safety Requirements
- Manages multiple dockets efficiently
- Maintains consistency in portioning, plating and presentation
- Takes pride in keeping all areas of the kitchen clean, tidy and organised
- Follows FIFO in stock control
- Reliable, punctual and looking for work stability
