Kandos Hotel is looking for a reliable Cook to join our kitchen team.
The role involves preparing and cooking quality pub meals, assisting with food preparation and helping the kitchen run smoothly during service. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy setting and takes pride in serving consistent, well-presented food.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking meals from the hotel menu
- Completing food preparation and portioning before service
- Following recipes and presentation standards
- Assisting the Chef and other kitchen team members
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Correctly storing, labelling and rotating food
- Keeping work areas clean and organised
- Assisting with general kitchen duties as required
About you
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred
- Able to work efficiently during busy services
- Reliable, organised and able to follow instructions
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- A positive attitude and willingness to help across the kitchen
