Our menu focuses on quality ingredients, house-made components and contemporary dishes prepared and presented to consistently high standards. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our professional kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes, portioning and presentation standards while maintaining high levels of food quality, safety and hygiene.

Supportive and professional working environment. Chance to develop skills and contribute to the ongoing success of the business. Task & responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook a wide range of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes in accordance with established recipes and menu requirements.

Examine ingredients to ensure their quality and freshness before preparation and cooking. Prepare, season and cook food using a variety of cooking methods and commercial kitchen equipment. Prepare sauces, dressings, fillings and other house-made components required for menu items.

Monitor food throughout the preparation and cooking process to ensure appropriate quality, flavour and consistency. Regulate the temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment. Portion, plate and present dishes with appropriate sauces and garnishes in accordance with the restaurant’s established presentation standards.





Prepare dishes for customers with special dietary requirements and modify ingredients where appropriate. Maintain adequate mise en place and ensure workstations are properly stocked before and during service. Monitor ingredient and stock levels and advise the kitchen supervisor or management when supplies require replenishment.

Ensure food and ingredients are correctly labelled, handled, preserved and stored in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities. Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, food safety and personal hygiene in accordance with applicable regulations. Follow workplace health and safety procedures and report equipment faults or safety concerns to management.

Qualification & experience An AQF Certificate III or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent qualification in a closely related culinary field. At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a busy commercial kitchen.

Strong food preparation, cooking, portioning and presentation skills. Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements. Ability to work efficiently under pressure as part of a professional kitchen team.
