About the role An internal opportunity exists for a 3-month stint in the Coordinator Asset Strategy role within Knox to support an upcoming secondment. In this role, you'll lead a small team of technical specialists within the Strategic Infrastructure team to progress strategic Asset Management plans and priorities, support operational requirements of Council's Asset Management System, progress condition audits for infrastructure assets and ensure that Council continues to provide sustainable funding to manage Council assets to required standards.

This is a temporary full-time role based at the Civic Centre and is expected to run for a period of 6-9 months (estimated), with the role providing backfill support to the current incumbent, who will be seconded to support delivery and completion remaining modules of Council's Asset Management Information System. We support adaptable working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 7 classified role. Remuneration will be $115,162 to $129,157 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will bring to this role The key selection criteria for this role are:

- Experience in Asset Management planning,



policies and systems with responsibility for management of physical assets.

- Financial and budget management skills, incorporating financial forecasting and modelling.

- Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to effectively communicate with the team, other Council staff and external people.

- People leadership skills including the ability to motivate and mentor team members and recruit for excellence.

- Understanding of the political environment operating within Local Government.

- Ideally, a Degree or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Finance, I.T, or related discipline, with preference for an Engineering qualification suitable for full membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia.

- Understanding of risk management principles and legislative requirements associated with the Road Management Act 2004.
