People in Payroll are excited to be partnering with a highly regarded ASX listed retail organisation in Melbourne. We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team.

Base pay range

A$100,000.00/yr - A$110,000.00/yr

Key Duties

n

n
- End-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy across data entry, calculations, and deductions.
n
- Maintain employee data and profiles to the highest standard.
n
- Respond to and resolve payroll-related queries in a timely manner.
n
- Deliver regular reporting and payroll analytics, including inputs for board and committee papers.
n
- Manage and action tickets within agreed timeframes.
n
- Provide payroll insights and analysis to support business decision‐making.
n

Ideal Experience

n

n




- Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience in a high-volume environment (large teams or complex processing highly desirable).
n
- Previous exposure to the retail sector.
n
- Strong reporting, analytics, and manual payroll calculation skills.
n
- Experience with in-house payroll systems.
n
- Solid knowledge of EBAs and awards, with strong attention to detail.
n
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team.
