We are seeking an experienced Despatch Operator to join a high‐performing team at a major chemical manufacturing facility in Kwinana. Working within the Sodium Cyanide operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the protected packaging, storage, loading and despatch of products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Safely package and prepare sodium cyanide products for transport.
n
- Load liquid sodium cyanide into approved transport vessels and isotainers.
n
- Load and unload trucks, containers and transport equipment.
n
- Operate automated packaging, conveying and despatch systems.
n
- Operate forklifts and other mobile plant safely and efficiently.
n
- Conduct pre‐start inspections and basic operator maintenance.
n
- Complete Dangerous Goods documentation and despatch paperwork.
n
- Verify product quantities, batch numbers and customer orders.
n
- Carry out inventory and stock control activities.
n
- Perform housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
n
- Identify hazards and report equipment defects.
n
- Follow Permit to Work, Isolation (LOTO) and site safety procedures.
n
- Participate in emergency response activities and safety initiatives.
n
- Work closely with production, maintenance and logistics teams to ensure efficient operations.
n

About You
n
To be successful you will ideally have:
n
n
- Current High Risk Forklift (LF) Licence.
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
n
- Full Australian working rights.
n
- White card.
n
- Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, mining, logistics or industrial operations.
n
- Experience operating forklifts and mobile plant.
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental compliance.
n
- Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and work instructions.
n
- Good computer and documentation skills.
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
n
- High attention to detail.
n
- Ability to work rotating shifts if required.
n
