Job Description

This newly created Waste Support Officer role gives you the chance to work independently, with the support of a close-knit, experienced team. Located in Castle Hill, NSW you will be based at Castle Towers Shopping Centre, helping to promote sustainable waste practices through a mix of operational support, tenant engagement, and education.

What You'll Be Doing

- Overseeing daily waste operations across both centres
n
- Understanding site‐specific waste streams and how they're managed
n
- Suggesting sustainable improvements to existing processes
n
- Optimizing bin sizes and collection schedules
n
- Inspecting bins and storage areas for compliance
n
- Promoting correct waste segregation (general waste, recycling, organics)
n
- Reducing contamination and improving recycling rates
n
- Responding to waste‐related issues with cleaning and maintenance teams
n

What You Bring

- Motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about sustainability

- A clear communicator, confident working with tenants and staff

- Organised, reliable,



and detail oriented
n
- Able to work independently and solve basic problems
n
- Familiar with or open to learning about waste and recycling
n
- Aware of general workplace safety
n
- A background or studies in environmental science, sustainability, or education is a plus
n
