About The Role
As a Pathology Courier, you'll be responsible for collecting and delivering pathology samples, reports, medical supplies and other items between collection centres, medical practices, hospitals and laboratories. Following a scheduled route, you'll help make sure important deliveries are made safely, accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and deliver pathology samples, blood products, vaccines, reports, medical supplies and clinical waste
- Complete required transport, specimen and delivery documentation accurately
- Deliver reports and assist with laboratory stock and supply requirements
- Handle patient information and medical items safely and confidentially
- Follow all safety, quality and compliance procedures, including Work Health and Safety requirements
About You To be successful in this role, you'll be reliable, organised and comfortable working independently. You'll be confident managing your time, following procedures and getting things where they need to be safely and on time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous courier, delivery or transport experience is desirable
Key Skills and Attributes
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Friendly and professional communication skills
- Ability to follow procedures and complete paperwork accurately
- Reliable, safety-focused and dependable
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Requirements
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence with a safe driving record
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
- Physical ability to lift and carry items up to 15kg
- Ability to meet relevant immunisation requirements, including Hepatitis B
