About Your New Employer

n

West Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a multi-billion dollar global organisation who are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join their growing IT team, currently 25+ people. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and resolving Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. You will ensure data integrity, compliance, and seamless communication across systems.

Ideally you will come from a manufacturing, wholesale, supply-chain, logistics or inventory management industry background.

n

About your new Role

n

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will work in a highly visible part of the IT team and ensure the reliability and performance of the network and infrastructure for the group.

n

Some of the key tasks aligned to this role include:

n

n
- Participate in the development of the IT roadmap that best meets the needs of the business.
n
- Monitor and support daily data transmissions
n
- Troubleshoot and resolve data related issues with internal teams and external partners.
n
- Monitoring physical and virtual infrastructure for potential issues.
n
- Create and maintain documentation of processes, maps and configuration.
n
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to ensure smooth and accurate data flow.
n




- Acting as the escalation point for level 3 incidents and addressing user related issues to provide suitable solutions.
n
- Perform hardware upgrades and new equipment roll outs, including phones and operational technologies.
n
- Administer network security including firewalls, virus protection, data loss prevention (PLP), web filters and gateways.
n
- Perform software, firmware and application upgrades periodically.
n
- Oversee relationships with external suppliers to ensure that service levels are satisfactory and in line with expectations.
n

About You

n

n
- 1-3 years experience in a similar role
n
- You will hold a formal IT qualification as well as other related training such as ITIL or relevant product certifications (Microsoft ideal).
n
- You come from an MSP as a level 2 or 4 technician or a comparable System Administrator position.
n
- You bring sound technical knowledge of Microsoft products, such as Windows servers, Azure AD, Azure virtual desktop, SQL Server, Sharepoint & O365.
n
- Interpersonally, you are a team player with a 'Can do' attitude with the ability to prioritise your work day to meet your commitments.
n

Nice To Have

n

- Experience with ERP systems integration.
n
- Prior work with platforms such as B2Be, SAP Business Networks and Coupa
n
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
n
