AG Engineering Solutions is a proud Australian owned and operated company who manufacture a diverse range of medium to heavy industrial machines, low volume components and various parts for different industries around the country.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Fitter and Turner to join our team at our growing Engineering shop in Tullamarine.

n

The ideal candidate has:

n

n
- Experience studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
n
- Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment
n
- Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments
n
- Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools, setting up prescribed cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses, and setting controls for textile machines
n
- Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
n
- Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
n




- Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
n
- Proven history of CNC machining
n
- Strong knowledge in programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
n
- Some experience with CAD/CAM software
n

Your qualifications, skills and experience:

n

n
- Minimum qualifications: Certificate III in Engineering – mechanical trade
n
- Preferred experience: 5 years of relevant industry experience using NC and CNC machines
n
- Strong communication in English, both written and spoken
n

The role is full time, and on offer is a outstanding salary starting at $78,000 - $82,000 (dependant on experience), with regular overtime available.
