About the Role
n
Protech are seeking a motivated and reliable Forklift Operator / Labourer to join our Client's busy steel distribution and productionteam. This role is responsible for the, production of steel products, safe handling, storage, and dispatch of steel products.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming steel products and materials.
n
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
n
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and overhead cranes (where licensed).
n
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
n
- Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
n
- Ensure steel products are stored safely to prevent damage.
n
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with workplace health and safety standards.
n
- Work closely with production and dispatch to meet customer delivery requirements.
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
n
- Current Forklift License (essential).
n
- Ability to safely handle long and heavy steel products.
n
- Positive numerical skills and attention to detail.
n
- Basic computer skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
n
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team.
n
- Commitment to workplace safety and safe manual handling practices.
