We are seeking experienced Section Leaders to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity to take on a leadership position overseeing the day-to-day operations of key sections within our manufacturing environment. As a Section Leader you will be instrumental in ensuring that our teams maintain the highest standards of productivity, quality and safety whilst fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture. You will report to senior management and have a direct impact on the efficiency and performance of your section, contributing to the broader success of Byrne Trailers.

What you’ll be doing
- Supervise and manage a team of manufacturing and production staff, providing clear direction, support and performance feedback
- Monitor daily production schedules and ensure targets are met whilst maintaining quality standards and safety protocols
- Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings to ensure all team members understand and comply with workplace health and safety requirements
- Identify training needs and support the professional development of team members through coaching and mentoring
- Maintain accurate records of production, quality issues, attendance and safety incidents,
and report regularly to management
- Liaise with other sections and departments to coordinate workflow and resolve any operational challenges
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve processes within the section
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained, report maintenance issues promptly and support preventative maintenance schedules
- Lead by example, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction
What we're looking for
- Proven supervisory or team leader experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within the transport, logistics or trailer manufacturing sector
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, standards and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage performance, conduct training and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Sound understanding of production planning, quality control and continuous improvement methodologies
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service
