You'll play a pivotal role in partnering with customers and cross-functional teams to develop, commercialise and continuously improve products that meet the highest standards of quality, food safety and performance.

What You'll Be Doing

n

As a key member of our Innovation team, you will:

n

n
- Lead customer-driven product development and reformulation projects from concept through to commercial launch.
n
- Translate customer and commercial briefs into innovative, technically feasible product solutions.
n
- Develop products across our portfolio, including mayonnaise, dressings, sauces, syrups and pastes.
n
- Plan, coordinate and execute laboratory development, pilot trials, factory trials and commercial scale-up.
n
- Assess current ingredients for functionality, quality, food safety and regulatory compliance.
n
- Establish and validate food safety parameters through scientific assessment and microbiological validation.
n
- Conduct shelf-life studies and interpret analytical, sensory and microbiological results to support product validation.
n
- Prepare product specifications, customer documentation, PIFs, CoOL information and technical reports.
n
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure successful product launches.
n
- Investigate product quality issues and identify formulation or process improvements.
n
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate technical documentation.
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

About You

n





You'll be an experienced Food Technologist who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders.

n

You'll bring:

n

n
- A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
n
- Experience in product development or food technology within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
n
- Experience developing and commercialising wet food products such as sauces, dressings, mayonnaise, condiments or similar products.
n
- Strong knowledge of food safety principles, including GMP, HACCP and SQF.
n
- Experience with laboratory development, factory trials, process scale-up and commercialisation.
n
- Knowledge of ingredient functionality, formulation and shelf-life evaluation.
n
- Experience preparing technical documentation including product specifications and regulatory documentation.
n
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple development projects simultaneously.
n
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.
n
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
