Work Overview:

n

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a critical project that involves the setup and deployment of two new data centers located in Northern Virginia and Arizona. This is an urgent, high-stakes project for a major customer and could lead to future opportunities. The project requires hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches, NDFC, VXLAN/EVPN, and Multisite Data Center design.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Data Center Setup: Assist with racking, stacking, and validating connections between two new data centers (one in Virginia and one in Arizona) using Cisco Nexus 9K switches (4 spines, 36 leafs).
n
- Configuration & Validation: Validate network connectivity and ensure proper labeling. Collaborate with in office and remote teams to ensure configuration is accurate and meets best practices.
n
- Multisite Data Center Design: Configure routing, multicast, spanning tree, and interfaces across both data centers. Leverage Cisco NDFC for provisioning and configuring the network,



ensuring seamless connectivity between the two data centers.

- Networking Protocols: Experience with VXLAN/EVPN, spanning tree, and other complex network protocols are required to ensure optimal operation of the data center.
n
- Customer Interaction: Act as a subject matter expert, working directly with the customer to assess existing infrastructure, suggest improvements, and guide the project from start to finish.
n
- Autonomous Work: Run the project autonomously with minimal supervision, following the agreed-upon Method of Procedure (MOP) and taking responsibility for the project's success.

- Collaboration: Work closely with the senior architect, engineers, and other team members to roll out and validate the deployment.

Required Skills and Experience:

n

n
- Deep Expertise in Cisco Nexus switches (Nexus 9K), VXLAN/EVPN, and NDFC.
n
- 5-10 Years of Hands-On Experience with Data Center Design and Implementation, specifically in multisite environments.
n
- Experience with Cisco Nexus and configuring them in data center environments.
n
