Field Forklift Mechanic/Service Technician

What you will do

n

- Servicing and repair of material handling equipment in a dedicated territory and customer base – help Crown build positive customer experiences.
n
- Utilise the latest field‐based mobile technology to manage daily work schedule.
n
- Maintain inventory input for company‐allocated service van and customer sites, delivering a skilled level of service.
n
- Gain experience dealing with Australia's top‐tier customer base.
n
- Join the leading forklift service business in Australia – the largest forklift service provider.
n
- Complete an 8‐week onboarding and industry‐leading training program.
n
- Perform routine maintenance and complete service work – both reactive and planned.
n
- Accurately maintain important service records of work performed.
n

Typical Crown Technician Tasks and Duties

n

n
- Conduct customer‐focused scheduled and 'breakdown' services.
n
- Assist in the preparation of field‐based quotes for customers through job completion.
n
- Record notes and file service records appropriately – provide high‐level customer service.
n
- Access industry‐leading training and development and grade progression opportunities, including training less experienced technicians.
n
- Maintain up‐to‐date technical knowledge, including emerging automation and telematics technologies.
n
- Keep up‐to‐date with industry trends, new products and services.
n




- Partner with the company to maximise additional sales and service across a dedicated customer base.
n

Requirements

n

n
- Prior experience as a forklift mechanic or service technician highly regarded but not essential.
n
- Ability to perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs.
n
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
n
- Excellent problem‐solving skills.
n
- Strong attention to detail.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Good communication and customer service skills.
n
