McArthur is seeking a large team of Customer Service Officers, along with experienced Team Leaders, to assist with the delivery of various high-profile projects & events.
Working at busy public locations, you will be one of the first points of contact for customers - providing information, assisting with directions and wayfinding, supporting customer flow and helping create a safe, organised and positive experience.

The role
Depending on your allocated location and shift, your responsibilities may include:
- Welcoming and assisting customers
- Providing transparent and accurate information
- Assisting with directions and wayfinding
- Supporting the orderly movement and flow of customers
- Monitoring customer volumes and identifying areas requiring additional support
- Responding calmly and professionally to customer questions
- Escalating operational or customer issues to Team Leaders and Supervisors
- Following project procedures, safety requirements and operational instructions
- Attending project training and regular briefings
- Keeping up to date with operational changes throughout the project
- Working collaboratively as part of a large frontline team
About you We are looking for people who are proactive, reliable, approachable and confident dealing with the public.
You will ideally have
- Strong face-to-face customer service skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- A friendly, professional and positive manner
- The confidence to approach and assist customers
- The ability to remain calm and composed in busy environments
- Good situational awareness and the ability to follow instructions
- A strong commitment to punctuality and reliability
- The flexibility to work across different locations and shift times
- The ability to work effectively as part of a structured operational team
Experience within customer service, events, hospitality, tourism, transport, retail, aviation, venues, concierge or other public-facing environments would be highly regarded. Additional language skills are also highly regarded as the project will support customers from Sydney's diverse communities.
These are casual project-based opportunities, with varying levels of work available depending on project requirements.
The project is expected to involve a combination of:
- Mainly weekday and occasional weekend work
- Morning, daytime and evening shifts
- Multiple Sydney locations
- Periods of increased work during key operational stages
Candidates with strong availability and flexibility will be highly regarded. Project-specific training and operational briefings will be provided prior to deployment.
