Licensed Customs Broker – Moorebank

We are seeking a locally experienced Licensed Customs Broker with 1–5 years’ current Australian experience to join a well-established Australian freight forwarder.
You’ll work full time in the office alongside our Head Customs Broker, supporting a range of air and sea freight customers and handling a variety of import shipments. A stable and reputable Australian-owned international freight forwarder, with offices nationally, is seeking a locally experienced Licensed Customs Broker for a full-time role based at Moorebank Head Office.
This role is ideal for a Broker with 1–5 years’ local experience, supporting the Customs Manager and applying Australian Customs requirements across ocean and air shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end customs clearance for air & sea freight.
- Lodge Import, SAC, EDN & PRA declarations.
- Handle classifications, valuations and complex entries.
- Manage SCA enquiries and maximise pre-clearance opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Customs & DAFF requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation, LOAs/LOIs and files.
- Provide professional customer service and trade compliance advice.
- Liaise with customers, government agencies and internal teams.
- Stay up to date with changes to customs, tariffs and compliance requirements.
To Be Successful
- Current Australian Customs Broker Licence.
- Current DAFF/AQIS accreditation.
- 1–5 years’ local customs brokerage experience.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Customs and import requirements.
- CargoWise1 and/or Expedient experience advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while being part of a close-knit team.
