Employment: Permanent Role
Location: Melbourne, Australia - Hybrid
Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in Australia (Citizen, PR, Valid Visa holders).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cyber security risk assessments across customer projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and address security gaps and risks .
- Communicate complex technical and cyber security issues in explicit business terms, including to executive stakeholders involved in risk decision-making.
- Make informed risk-based decisions and effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
- Lead the uplift of team processes, documentation and engagement models.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers, delivery teams, product vendors, partners and other Cyber Assurance stakeholders to understand and communicate the cyber risk associated with delivered products and solutions.
- Define and document reusable assets, including standardised findings, methodologies and process improvements,
to improve capability within the function.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of professional experience , with at least 8 years of experience in Cyber Security, GRC or a Cyber Risk function .
- Practical experience conducting technical cyber security risk assessments.
- Strong familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as: ISO 27001, PCI, NIST
- Other relevant cyber security and risk frameworks.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical risks into clear, actionable business insights.
- Proven experience working in large and complex enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business functions.
