Expression of Interest (EOI) - Contractor Services

Dance Tutor St Peters Lutheran College Springfield is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified independent contractors to provide dance tuition to students. This engagement will be managed in accordance with the College's Procurement Policy and Procedures. Scope of Work and Services Required The successful contractor will:

- Deliver high-quality and engaging individual or small group dance tuition to students from Years 1-12.
- Develop students' technical skills, performance quality, confidence, and artistry across relevant dance styles and levels.
- Support students in preparing for performances, examinations, competitions, showcases, and College events.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and goal-focused development strategies.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that reflects the College's commitment to excellence.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth, innovation, and performance culture of the St Peters Performing Arts Program.

Duration

- Commencing October 2026
- Term-time delivery
- Up to 25 hours of tuition per week
- Contract duration to be confirmed following evaluation

Location

- On-site at St Peters Lutheran College, Springfield

Contractor Profile Qualifications and Experience

- Tertiary qualifications in Dance, Dance Education, Performing Arts, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience teaching dance to students across a range of ages and abilities, with a particular focus on Years 1-12.
- Experience teaching one or more dance styles such as contemporary, jazz, ballet, musical theatre, hip hop, or commercial dance.
- Solid pedagogical knowledge, including technical development, safe dance practice, and age-appropriate choreography.
- Experience preparing students for performances, examinations, auditions, competitions, or eisteddfods.
- Ability to inspire students and foster confidence, creativity, discipline,



and a growth-minded approach to learning.

About You You are an enthusiastic and motivational dance educator who brings energy, expertise, and a genuine passion for teaching and performance. You demonstrate excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to engage positively with students of all ages and abilities. You are committed to maintaining high artistic and educational standards while modelling professionalism, patience, and student-centred teaching.

Experience working in a school setting, operating a private dance studio, leading performance ensembles, choreographing productions, or performing professionally will be highly regarded. You will also be expected to actively support and comply with the College's Student Protection Policy and procedures.

Evaluation Criteria EOIs will be assessed based on:

- Qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated capability in dance tuition and performance education.
- Evidence of successful student outcomes and teaching effectiveness.
- Risk considerations, including child safety compliance.

Submission Requirements Contractors are asked to submit:

- Evidence of relevant qualifications.
- A Capability Statement outlining experience, teaching history, teaching philosophy or methodology, dance specialisations, and areas of expertise.
- Proof of current public liability insurance.
- Proposed availability.
- Copy of Current Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check).

- The College reserves the right to accept or reject any expression of interest.
- Engagement will be subject to a formal contract.
- All services must comply with College policies, including child safety standards, and all relevant legislation.
