The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a major data transformation initiative within a leading higher education institution. This role will focus on building and enhancing modern cloud-based data platforms, developing scalable data pipelines, and supporting enterprise-wide data initiatives.

Working within a collaborative technology team, you will contribute to the design, development and optimisation of data solutions that enable better reporting, analytics and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Develop and support cloud-based data solutions across enterprise environments.
- Work with large-scale datasets and modern data architectures.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver data platform enhancements.
- Ensure data quality, performance, scalability and reliability across data services.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering practices and standards.

Technical Skills & Experience We're looking for candidates with experience across:





- Strong cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines
- Robust ETL development experience
- Experience working with enterprise-scale data platforms
- Knowledge of modern data architecture principles
- Experience with Snowflake
- Exposure to tools such as Talend and Coalesce would be highly regarded
