Role Description The Data Insights Analyst / Junior Data Analyst / Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level) role is a full time remote position responsible for turning data into actionable insights that support UC Business initiatives. On a day-to-day basis, the analyst gathers, cleans, and analyzes data related to markets, customers, and internal operations using appropriate analytical tools and methods. The role involves conducting market and customer research, identifying trends, and preparing clear reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and partners.

The analyst collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support decision-making around innovation projects, entrepreneurship programs, and specialized services. The position requires careful documentation of methodologies, attention to data quality, and proactive communication of findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills and data analytics capabilities, including the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.




- Experience or interest in market research and customer insight to understand needs, behaviors, and trends.
- Effective communication skills to present complex findings clearly to non-technical audiences and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, BI tools, or basic statistical software) and a willingness to learn new analytical platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Engineering, or similar.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Curiosity about innovation, entrepreneurship, and university–industry collaboration; prior experience in these domains is an advantage.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional language skills are considered a plus.
