We're seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a high-performing Advanced Analytics & AI team delivering data-driven insights that shape critical operational and commercial decisions.
This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale forecasting, optimisation and machine learning initiatives within a complex enterprise setting.
About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll lead the delivery of high-value data science use cases from concept through to production, partnering closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to turn data into actionable outcomes. You'll play a key role in forecasting demand, optimising resources, improving revenue performance, and supporting strategic decision-making through advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of forecasting and optimisation models across a variety of business domains.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges, define success metrics, and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Develop, validate and deploy machine learning models using Python and cloud-based data science platforms.
- Manage the full machine learning lifecycle, including feature engineering, monitoring, model maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Present insights, forecasts and recommendations to senior leaders and executives.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to onshore and offshore data science teams.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of commercial data science experience with production-grade machine learning solutions.
- Advanced Python skills, including experience with libraries such as Pandas and Scikit-learn.
- Strong SQL and statistical modelling capability.
- Experience delivering time-series forecasting, regression, classification and clustering solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Machine Learning (or similar enterprise ML platforms).
- Experience working with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouses.
- Strong understanding of MLOps, model deployment, monitoring and drift detection.
- Experience working within Microsoft Azure environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Relevant degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline.
Highly Regarded
- Experience in aviation, transport, pricing, forecasting or revenue management environments.
- Exposure to Power BI, optimisation techniques, A/B testing and Explainable AI.
- Knowledge of Responsible AI frameworks and governance.
- Experience mentoring or leading distributed teams.
