As Manager – Multicultural Partners, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a statewide program that promotes culturally inclusive aged care services and supports older CALD Australians and their families.
n
You will oversee program delivery, manage stakeholder relationships, coordinate reporting obligations, support business growth opportunities, and ensure the program continues to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with funding agreements and ECCQ's strategic priorities.
n
This role manages a team of three direct reports and plays a key role in strengthening ECCQ's profile and impact within the aged care sector.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Program Leadership & Delivery
n
n
- Lead and coordinate the statewide delivery of the Multicultural Partners program.
n
- Develop and implement annual work plans aligned with funding agreements.
n
- Oversee the development and quality assurance of training programs, resources, community information sessions, and promotional materials.
n
- Monitor program performance and ensure achievement of contractual outcomes.
n
- Identify funding, partnership, and growth opportunities.
n
n
Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy
n
n
- Represent ECCQ at forums, consultations, conferences, and sector networks.
n
- Maintain strong relationships with aged care providers, multicultural communities, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
n
- Monitor aged care policy developments and identify implications for CALD communities.
n
- Support ECCQ's advocacy and peak body functions through sector engagement and policy input.
n
n
Leadership & People Management
n
n
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of three professionals.
n
- Foster a positive, high-performing,
and collaborative team culture.
n
- Conduct performance planning, development discussions, and annual appraisals.
n
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to enable team success.
n
n
Reporting & Compliance
n
n
- Prepare reports for funding bodies and internal stakeholders.
n
- Manage contractual obligations, reporting deadlines, and funding acquittals.
n
- Ensure program activities comply with funding agreements and organisational requirements.
n
n
Financial & Quality Management
n
n
- Manage program budgets and expenditure effectively.
n
- Support grant development and budget planning initiatives.
n
- Drive continuous improvement across program delivery, training methodologies, and resource development.
n
- Promote innovative approaches to community engagement, including social media and digital platforms.
n
n
About You
n
You are a confident leader with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a passion for improving outcomes for multicultural communities.
n
You bring experience managing programs, people, contracts, and partnerships, together with a sound understanding of the aged care, community services, or not-for-profit sector.
n
Essential
n
Qualification in Social Sciences, Public Health, Community Development, Human Services, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
n
Demonstrated experience in:
n
n
- Team leadership and people management.
n
- Managing contracts, projects, or funded programs.
n
- Stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
n
- Report writing and performance monitoring.
n
- Budget management and service delivery coordination.
n
n
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
n
Strong understanding of cultural diversity and commitment to inclusive service delivery.
n
Desirable
n
n
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
n
- Experience in aged care, ageing, advocacy, policy, or multicultural service delivery.
n
- Experience working within the community, government, or not-for-profit sectors.
n
- Knowledge of Australia's aged care system and current reform agenda.
n
n
