Job Description
We have an excellent opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic to join Power Systems Australia based out our head office in Laverton North.
n
The successful candidate will be involved in completing after-sales support servicing for our client's diesel generators. This will include carrying out service and warranty jobs and repairing jobs in the workshop.

Key responsibilities but not be limited to -
n
n
- Experience troubleshooting, diagnose, repair and maintenance of generators.
n
- You will enjoy troubleshooting mechanical and electrical engine faults and be part of a team conducting scheduled maintenance and engine overhauls.
n
- Pride in completing jobs right the first time to the highest standard.
n
- Willing and available to travel and engage in field service duties.
n
- Be involved in workshop duties
n
- Experience with computer-based diagnostic programs will be highly regarded.
n
- Be capable of working without supervision.
n
- Self-motivated and able to become an active part of a excellent team of people.
n
- You will be required to join the other mechanics on the rotating roster to be on call.
n
n
Requirements -
n
n
- Possess Appropriate Trade qualifications. (Diesel Mechanic)
n
- Experience in power generator or previous rental fleet maintenance preferred but not essential.
n
- Able to complete service documentation as per customer requirements, maintenance reports.
n
- Be flexible in attending breakdowns, on-site, repairs and fieldwork as required.
n
- Experience working on Cummins, Perkins, John Deere, and Mitsubishi products are preferable.
n
- Customer service orientated.
n
- Current unrestricted driver's license
n
- Current Truck licence (HRadvantageous) and Forklift License (This is a must)
n
- White Card is a must
n
n
Additional skills and perks
n
n
- Additional skills like metal fabrication, welding etc, would be a plus.
n
- An excellent working environment with a close-knit team.

- This is a permanent position.
n
- Position currently is 60/40 Workshop/Field service
n
- You must have a team attitude and be able to work unsupervised.
n
- Communication is a must!
n
n
To be eligible for this position, you must have full Australian working rights.
n
Mechanic/ Generator Technician qualifications are essential, as is a current and valid driver's licence.
n
You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to be highly organised.
n
Someone who works well with a team and reporting to their manager will have a high chance of success in this role.
