We're a small, sharp team across Sydney, Manila and Current York, and we build the way we tell our clients to: AI agents do a large share of the engineering work, and humans direct, review and ship.

THE ROLE

n

We're looking for a Backend Engineer with genuine Azure depth to join our Sydney team.

n

Azure is an important part of our architecture, so we need someone who can go beyond simply using cloud services — you should be able to reason confidently about architecture, infrastructure and production decisions.

n

You'll stay hands-on, build with AI coding agents, and work across backend engineering, Azure and production systems.

YOU WILL

n

- Build and maintain backend services and APIs
n
- Work with Python and/or TypeScript
n
- Design systems using databases, APIs and microservices
n
- Make sound architecture and infrastructure decisions across Microsoft Azure
n
- Deploy, monitor and improve production systems
n
- Work across CI/CD, DevOps and data management
n
- Review AI-generated code and make sure it meets engineering and production standards
n
- Improve testing, reliability, security and engineering quality
n
- Work closely with the Sydney and Manila engineering teams
n




- Understand our stack and architecture quickly and take ownership without needing heavy support
n

YOU

n
- Around 3–5 years in software engineering
n
- Strong Python and/or TypeScript experience
n
- Genuine depth with Microsoft Azure
n
- Confident reasoning about cloud architecture and infrastructure
n
- Strong understanding of databases, API design and microservices
n
- Have deployed and supported real software in production
n
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps and data management
n
- Comfortable using AI coding tools as part of your engineering workflow
n
- Strong technical judgement and able to work independently
n
- Learn quickly and enjoy startup environments
n

- Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar AI engineering tools
