ABOUT XPENG
XPENG is entering an exciting stage of growth in Australia, and we are seeking an experienced Dealer Business Manager to support the dealer network in the Western Region.
This key role is responsible for supporting the dealer network, building brand presence and ensuring XPENG delivers a premium customer experience across ANZ.
ROLE SUMMARY The primary function of the Dealer Business Manager is to develop, support and manage the performance of the assigned dealer network, with a strong focus on sales growth, customer experience and the successful implementation of brand initiatives.
This includes but is not limited to:
Building solid and productive relationships with Dealer Principals, General Managers, Sales Managers and key dealership personnel.
- Working closely with dealers to develop and execute sales plans that achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales, market share, profitability and brand representation within each dealer’s primary market area.
- Supporting dealers with business planning, forecasting, inventory management, local marketing and operational performance.
- Acting as the primary link between the dealer network and the company’s sales, marketing, aftersales and operational teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the overall sales and operational performance of the assigned dealer network.
- Develop clear performance plans for each dealership and regularly review progress against agreed targets and key performance indicators.
- Analyse dealership performance, market conditions, competitor activity and sales opportunities to drive sustainable growth.
- Work with dealers to improve enquiry management, lead conversion, test-drive activity, order intake and customer deliveries.
- Support dealers with accurate sales forecasting, stock planning, vehicle allocation and inventory management.
- Conduct regular dealership visits, performance reviews and business planning meetings.
- Ensure dealers understand and comply with company policies, reporting requirements, brand standards and operational processes.
- Support the onboarding and development of recent dealerships, including staff training, system access, showroom readiness and launch activity.
- Partner with dealerships to develop effective local area marketing plans and ensure activity supports brand and sales objectives.
- Monitor customer satisfaction results and work with dealers to improve the customer experience across the sales and ownership journey.
- Identify performance risks, operational issues and areas requiring escalation, then work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver practical solutions.
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting on dealer performance, sales forecasts, market activity, risks and opportunities.
- Represent the brand professionally and positively across all dealer and industry interactions.
ABOUT YOU The successful candidate will have:
- Extensive automotive industry experience, ideally within an OEM, distributor, regional management or senior dealership leadership role.
- A demonstrated history of delivering sales growth, improving dealership performance and achieving challenging commercial targets.
- Strong knowledge of dealership operations, including sales management, forecasting, stock control, customer experience and local area marketing.
- Proven experience managing senior dealer stakeholders and building effective relationships with Dealer Principals and dealership management teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to interpret sales reports, market data and dealership financial performance.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and take ownership of outcomes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
- The ability to balance dealer relationships with the commercial and operational requirements of the brand.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple dealerships, priorities and deadlines.
- A collaborative working style and the ability to partner effectively with sales, marketing, aftersales, finance and operational teams.
- A high level of personal accountability, professionalism and attention to detail.
- The flexibility and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.
- A current Australian driver licence.
