About The Role

Metrea is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to serve as the primary execution partner supporting a strategic Australian customer. Embedded within the customer workplace, this role is responsible for coordinating program activities, integrating multiple workstreams, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring delivery commitments are achieved across a complex, customer-facing operational environment. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the role serves as the operational focal point for day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead day-to-day execution activities supporting a strategic Australian customer
- Develop and maintain integrated schedules and execution plans
- Coordinate delivery activities across multiple stakeholders and workstreams




- Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
- Prepare customer-facing and executive-level reporting products
- Facilitate governance forums, reviews, and planning activities
- Ensure alignment between operational activities and customer expectations
- Monitor program performance against established objectives
- Support opportunity development and future growth initiatives

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent operational, Defence, technical, or professional experience
- Typically 6-10 years of project, program, operational, military, or customer-facing experience
- Experience leading complex projects or customer-facing initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance

Desirable Experience supporting defense, aerospace, aviation, government, or national security customers. PMP certification preferred.
