Opal is an industry-leading paper and packaging business across Australia and New Zealand. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Opal team as our site in Botany, NSW is currently looking for 2 Project Engineers to come onboard!

n

With the ongoing development of our Paper Mill in Botany, there is a strong pipeline of initiatives that require dedicated project management to see them through to completion, with a high level of emphasis on safety/compliance, efficiency, and profitability.

n

The key focus of this role will be to:

n

n
- Properly identify and scope CAPEX projects
n
- Oversee the implementation of CAPEX projects
n
- Manage multiple projects across the entire paper mill operation
n
- Ensure Change management is handled in structured and controlled manner
n
- Working closely with the site groups to scope and develop project plans
n
- Setting and managing the project budget
n




- Identifying project risks and implement mitigation plans
n
- Coordinating all activities and work for the initiatives link to project (including: coordinate with contractors, manage work teams, liaise with external project managers, etc.)
n

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

n

n
- An engineering degree (preferably with a key focus in mechanical, mechatronics or electrical)
n
- 5 years of experience in project engineering/ project management
n
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders
n
- Experience in overseeing multiple projects at once
n
- Previous experience working in a continuous manufacturing workplace (preferably heavy industry)
n
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
