Daily rate contract – Melbourne CBD based – Hybrid basis. 6‐month daily rate engagement within a mature digital utilities environment. Hands‐on DERMS role supporting DER integration and operations.

Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead the registration, validation, testing, and onboarding of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) onto enterprise DERMS platforms, ensuring compliance with connection processes and regulatory requirements.
n
- Act as a technical SME within a Digital Electricity Solutions team, supporting ongoing operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of DERMS and associated systems.
n
- Collaborate with product owners, operations leads, and application SMEs to design and deliver small to medium system enhancements, from requirements through to deployment.
n
- Own solution design, testing, deployment, and defect management activities, ensuring systems meet performance, reliability, availability, and SLA requirements.

- Contribute to project delivery and BAU initiatives, including backlog prioritisation, effort estimation,



and participation in agile delivery and customer connection workflows.

About you

n

n
- Proven experience in the electricity distribution sector, ideally with hands‐on exposure to DERMS, SCADA, AMI, or DER asset connection and commissioning.
n
- Strong understanding of electricity network topology, configuration management of OT systems, and standards such as CSIP‐Aus.
n
- Demonstrated ability to translate business and functional requirements into technical designs, user stories, and implementation plans.
n
- Comfortable operating as a solution consultant and technical lead, with experience across application support, enhancement delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
n
- Solid communicator with a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively in cross‐functional agile teams and influence outcomes through sound technical judgment.
