Job Description
Data Engineer – Snowflake Implementation (Greenfield Engagement)

We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to lead a Snowflake implementation engagement from the ground up. This is a hands‐on role for someone who enjoys designing scalable data platforms, working closely with stakeholders, and turning complex data requirements into production‐ready solutions.
n
You'll play a key role in shaping the architecture, building robust pipelines, and setting best practices for a modern Snowflake‐based data environment.
n
What you'll be doing:
n
n
- Lead the end-to-end Snowflake implementation, from initial design through to production rollout
n
- Design and build scalable data warehouse/lakehouse architectures on Snowflake
n
- Develop and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Matillion, or similar
n
- Integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, SaaS platforms, databases, cloud storage)
n
- Implement data modelling, performance optimisation, and cost controls within Snowflake
n
- Establish best practices around data quality, governance, security, and access controls
n
- Collaborate closely with analytics, product, and business stakeholders to understand requirements
n
- Document architecture, data models,
and implementation decisions
n
n
What we're looking for:
n
n
- Strong hands‐on experience delivering Snowflake implementations (greenfield or major migrations)
n
- Solid background as a Data Engineer (typically 4+ years)
n
- Deep experience with SQL and robust proficiency in Python
n
- Experience designing data models for analytics and reporting use cases
n
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, CI/CD for data, etc.)
n
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
n
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders and translating business needs into technical solutions
n
- Consulting, project‐based, or delivery‐focused experience is a strong plus
n
n
Nice to have:

- Experience migrating from legacy data warehouses to Snowflake
n
- Exposure to data governance, privacy, or regulated environments
n
- Experience setting up monitoring, observability, and cost optimisation in Snowflake
n
n
